The 2010 Ford Ranger is equipped with a standard engine air filter but does not have a cabin air filter. To prevent large debris from entering the engine and HVAC system, there is likely a mesh or screen in place. You don't need to do anything special to maintain this. While some older vehicles do not have cabin filters, it's not a big issue - you may notice a bit more dust and pollen inside the cabin compared to vehicles with cabin filters.
The place where the cabin air filter is located in a 2010 Ford Ranger can vary. It might be situated beneath the dashboard behind the glove box, or it could also be found under the hood towards the rear of the vehicle on occasion.

I can't seem to locate that component for my 2010 Ford Ranger, and I think there might not be a cabin air filter in that model. The only filter present is for the engine air intake.
