On the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, the cabin air filter is located on the right side of the truck, positioned behind the glove box. This filter helps to keep out unwanted particles like dust and pollen from entering the vehicle's HVAC system. Signs that the filter needs replacing include unusual odors or reduced airflow from the vents. It is recommended to replace the filter every 10,000 miles in harsh driving conditions, or every 15,000 to 30,000 miles in normal driving conditions. Swapping out the filter can be done in under 10 minutes and requires tools such as a T15 torx driver, a ratchet, and socket extensions.
The cabin air filter for the 2019 Chevy Silverado is located at the back of the glove compartment.

You don't need any tools to replace the cabin air filter; I simply took off the lower glove box door and found the cabin filter box right behind it. Even though my truck is a 2019 Chevy 1500, I had to use a GMC cabin filter because the Chevy filters are too large to fit.
