The 2006 Ram 1500 does not come equipped with a cabin air filter. Instead, you can find a mesh material on top of the blower motor, which serves a similar function. This mesh is not meant to be replaced like a traditional cabin air filter. You can periodically clean it to improve airflow, but it doesn't exactly function as a standard cabin air filter.
Can you clean the mesh wire that is used in place of the cabin filter?
Do you know where the plastic screen is that keeps leaves and other debris out of the air conditioning system?
The spot where you can find the cabin air filter in a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 is typically either behind the glove box under the dashboard or at the back under the hood of the truck.
