In your 2010 Chevy Avalanche, the cabin air filter can be found behind the glovebox on the passenger side. This filter is responsible for cleaning the incoming air to the cabin, making it an essential component to monitor. Typically, it is recommended to replace the filter every 15,000 to 30,000 miles. To replace it, simply remove the plastic cover secured with clips and take out the old filter. Signs that a replacement may be needed include a noticeable odor when the AC is running or a decrease in the air output from the vents.
