In 2005, the Acura TSX's camshaft position sensor is located in the cylinder head, positioned behind the timing gear. To reach the camshaft sensor, you'll have to take off the front engine cover, timing belt, and gear. If there is an issue with the camshaft sensor, your car won't immediately break down. You can still drive without it, but your vehicle's performance will gradually decline. When a camshaft position sensor starts to fail, it loses its ability to transmit data quickly. Even a slight mismatch in fuel delivery and ignition timing can lead to issues like sputtering, poor acceleration, loss of power, stalling, or even engine shutdown.
