The camshaft position sensor on your 2001 Ford F-150 can be found at the front of the engine, on the driver's side, under the valve cover near the camshaft. Signs that you may have a faulty camshaft position sensor include sudden changes in your vehicle's performance, like frequent stalling, loss of engine power, decreased gas mileage, and sluggish acceleration. If you notice any of these issues, especially if the check engine light comes on with a related code, it's best to have your vehicle checked at a repair shop.
