In order to achieve the best fuel economy, it is important to have a functioning camshaft position sensor. If you notice a decrease in miles per gallon, rough idling, stalling, hesitation, or sluggish acceleration in your 2007 Nissan Titan, this may be a sign that the CPS needs to be replaced. To locate the sensor, open the hood and look at the top of the cylinder head on the driver's side of the engine bay near the firewall. Over time, the sensor can deteriorate or fail due to moisture build-up, especially if the vehicle is not being used regularly. The sensor plays a key role in determining the right combination of fuel and air for combustion and ignition in the engine. The cost of replacing the CPS in the Titan typically ranges from $110 to $130 for parts and labor.
