In the 2013 Dodge Avenger, there are two spots where you'll find the coolant temperature sensor. One is located inside the top part of the thermostat housing unit, while the other one is under the intake manifold and engine. If either sensor is not working properly, you'll need to replace it. The cost of a new sensor is typically between $40 and $80. If you opt to have a mechanic replace them, you can expect to pay for labor between $120 and $240.
