To locate the coolant temperature sensor in a 2013 Ford F-150 truck, open the hood and focus on the front area where the radiator connects to the top of the engine block. The ECT sensor can be found beneath the intake manifold. It's not a tough task to handle, but can be a real pain with the numerous things to disconnect and remove. Just a heads up, in this case, the issue turned out to be a faulty fan relay, not the ECT sensor. I've been tinkering with cars since 1957, so I prefer to tackle these fixes on my own. However, identifying and fixing the problem can be quite a challenge online, taking up the most time.
