The back of the panel will have a diagram indicating the purpose of each fuse. If not, consult the owner's manual for the vehicle. Identify the fuse you need and remove it by pulling it out. Check if the thin strip of metal connecting the two sections of the fuse is intact; a broken strip means the fuse needs replacing. New fuses are inexpensive, costing around $10.
