The crankshaft position sensor in a 2003 Toyota Camry can be easily located inside the engine bay, taking about 2-3 minutes of your time to find. To locate it, open the hood and inspect the engine compartment, or look from beneath the vehicle for a clearer view. The sensor is mounted to the rear of the engine block on the left side of the undercarriage. If the sensor is faulty, it will require replacement, which can cost between $40 to $80 for parts. Hiring a mechanic for the replacement will add another $50 to $250 for labor charges.
It can be found beneath the motor and towards the rear section of the engine block.
