The door jamb switch in the 2007 Chevy Silverado is located inside the door latch. If it's not functioning, you should replace the fuse. To access the fuse box, check to the left of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open it. Inside the box, you'll find several fuses. Look for a diagram on the back of the panel you opened to identify which fuse you need. If the diagram isn't there, you can refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Once you determine the necessary fuse, remove it. Check if the thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections is intact - if it's broken, the fuse is no good and must be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is still working and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, usually around $10.
