The EGR valve on a 2013 Ford F-150 is found in the engine bay. First, pop the hood by pulling the release lever inside the truck, then lift the hood and release the safety latch. Locate the valve towards the rear of the engine, near the firewall. A new valve can range from $40 to $100, while having a mechanic install it may cost between $300 and $450.
The EGR valve is not present in models from 2011 onwards due to VVT technology handling all related functions, eliminating the need for an EGR valve.
