One of the most common reasons the check engine light comes on in a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is due to an EVAP emissions leak. This can be especially problematic if you reside in a state with emissions testing requirements, necessitating a prompt resolution. If you suspect the EVAP purge solenoid to be the source of the leak, it can be easily located under the large black engine cover in the engine bay. The part is available online for less than $25, making it an affordable fix. To replace it, you will need to remove the engine cover, disconnect the wiring harness connector, detach the purge vapor line quick connect from the solenoid, detach the purge hose from the intake manifold, and finally remove the purge solenoid from its bracket. Reinstalling is a straightforward process, simply follow the reverse steps. Best of luck with the repair!
