The 2010 Chevy Silverado's evap vent solenoid is situated towards the back of the truck, above the muffler, inside either the evap canister or purge valve. If you discover a problem with the solenoid, you should replace it. The replacement part typically costs between $22 and $57. Signs of a faulty solenoid may include difficulty starting the vehicle, the check engine light illuminating, a sudden rise in gas pressure in the fuel tank, and not passing emissions tests.
