As the proud owner of a 2006 Nissan Altima, if you're having trouble finding the factory amp inside your car, it's actually situated under the rear deck area. To get to the amp, you'll have to take off the interior deck cover first. Grab a screwdriver to help you with unscrewing the top cover. If you need to replace the amp, expect to shell out anywhere from $58 to $138 for a new unit.
I've searched all over for it, even removed the back deck, but still couldn't find it. The issue arose after I installed a new radio, but there is only power and no sound.
The factory amp for the 2006 Nissan Altima can be found in the trunk of the car.
