For the 2003 Ford Mustang, you can locate the fan relay in the fuse box. To access the fuse box, check to the left of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open it up. Inside, you will find various fuses. On the back of the panel you opened, there should be a diagram showing the purpose of each fuse. If this information is not on the panel, you can refer to the owner's manual for the vehicle. Once you identify the fuse you need, simply pull it out. Check if the thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections is intact - if it's broken, the fuse is no good and requires replacement. If the strip is intact, the fuse is fine and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are affordable, costing around $10.
The fan relay for the 2003 Ford Mustang is situated in a container near the radiator.
Mike E, that's not correct. The device is housed in a black plastic cube attached to the front side of the passenger's support tower.
