To locate the front assist sensor in a Volkswagen Tiguan, check under the left dashboard panel on the driver's side of the car. You'll have to use a pry tool and basic hand tools to remove this panel. Once it's off, you'll see numerous wires. Identify the sensor with both yellow and blue wires to find the correct one. A new sensor is priced at around $30 to $60.
