The fuel filter of the 2005 Kia Sedona is situated inside the fuel tank as part of the fuel pump assembly. To replace it, you'll have to lower the fuel tank. Purchasing a new fuel filter can cost between $20 to $60, while labor charges range from $50 to $150 based on where you choose to have it done – so it's wise to shop around. Signs of a failing fuel filter include an engine that stalls, runs roughly, or struggles to start. Additionally, you may notice the check engine light coming on, along with a diagnostic trouble code linked to the EVAP system.
The filter can be found in the tank, with an access panel located between the back seats. There's no need to remove the entire tank to access it.
