It's recommended to replace the fuel filter every 30,000 miles to ensure optimal performance and fuel efficiency. Neglecting to change the filter can lead to issues with fuel combustion and decreased miles per gallon. Maintaining a well-functioning gas tank is crucial, as problems like a faulty control valve, loose tank, gas leaks, and a stuck gas cap can arise if not addressed promptly.
