In the Honda Odyssey, the fuel filter is located on the fuel pump assembly inside the gas tank. Honda considers this a non-serviceable part meant to last the van's lifespan. When replacing the fuel filter, the fuel pump will usually need to be removed as well. Using the correct octane unleaded gas should prevent issues with the fuel filter, but using low-quality fuel can lead to problems. Symptoms of a faulty fuel pump include stalling, hesitating while accelerating, and sputtering at idle. Debris in the fuel system can clog the fuel filter, potentially causing damage to the fuel pump.
The fuel filter in a 2006 Honda Odyssey can be found inside the fuel tank.
In both the 2006 and 2020 Honda models, the fuel filters are placed inside the gas tanks. If they need to be replaced, you have to remove the tank along with the filter. Fortunately, my dad was skilled at fixing cars, so I learned how to do it too.
