The 2014 Chevrolet Spark's fuel filter is now part of the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank, a change made to cut costs. Nowadays, most gas at stations is cleaner, so the cloth filter on the pump is usually enough, replacing the old inline filters. However, this filter can still get clogged, especially if you fuel up at stations with less strict fuel cleanliness standards. Signs that your filter may be clogged include difficulty starting the engine, sputtering once it starts, and possibly not starting at all.
