In your 2016 Kia Soul, the fuel filter is situated between the gas tank and the engine bay, in-line with the fuel line for effective purification of gasoline. For replacement, you can use the Carquest Premium Metal in-line fuel filter with a part number R86319 that costs around $24. To replace the filter, lift your Kia using a jack, open the gas door, and unscrew the gas cap to release pressure from the tank. Locate the filter beneath your vehicle in front of the gas tank, close to the exhaust. Using a 3/8 inch ratchet and socket set, unbolt the filter from the bracket holding it in place. Then, detach the fuel lines by pressing the retaining clips, remove the old filter, and install the new one. Simply reverse the previous steps to complete the installation process.
In the 2016 Kia Soul, you'll find the fuel filter inside the gas tank, specifically positioned on the rear left side of the car.
