The 2005 Nissan Altima is available with two engine options: a 2.5L 4-cylinder and a 3.5L V6. The number of fuel injectors in each engine variant corresponds with the number of cylinders. These injectors can be found on the top of the engine, attached to a rail and inserted into the engine block. It's crucial to be cautious when servicing a fuel injector, especially if it's your first time. Due to the presence of plastic components, there's a risk of inadvertently causing damage. Removing the injectors can also be challenging. To avoid mishaps, take your time, handle with care, ensure the fuel system is depressurized, and wear protective eyewear when conducting any fuel system maintenance or replacement tasks.
