In the 2012 Chevy Equinox, the fuel pressure regulator is part of the high fuel pressure pump, located at the front of the engine above and to the right of the throttle body. To access it, you'll need to first remove the air cover on top of the engine. Use a flat blade screwdriver to loosen the clamps holding the hoses in place—one on the hose from the top left of the air cover and the other attaching it to the throttle body at the front underneath. Once these clamps are loosened, disconnect the vacuum line from the left side of the air box and lift up from the rear of the engine compartment to remove it easily.
The fuel pressure regulator for the 2012 Chevrolet Equinox can be found on the fuel rail within the engine.
Remove the intake first, then detach the fuel rail located underneath it.
