In the 2010 Cadillac SRX, the fuel pressure sensor is positioned within the fuel pump assembly. Additionally, the fuel tank pressure sensor, which is part of the fuel pump assembly, is located either on top of or within the tank. This sensor plays a crucial role in the evaporative emissions system (known as EVAP) by monitoring pressure within the fuel system to detect potential evaporative leaks, such as a faulty or improperly sealed gas cap. If you press the gas pedal and experience a decrease in acceleration, it may be attributed to a faulty fuel pressure sensor. A malfunctioning sensor can disrupt the air and fuel mixture ratio, resulting in a noticeable power loss while driving.
The fuel pressure sensor for the 2010 Cadillac SRX can be found housed within the fuel pump assembly.
