This sensor plays a crucial role in the evaporative emissions system (known as EVAP) by monitoring pressure within the fuel system to detect potential evaporative leaks, such as a faulty or improperly sealed gas cap. If you press the gas pedal and experience a decrease in acceleration, it may be attributed to a faulty fuel pressure sensor. A malfunctioning sensor can disrupt the air and fuel mixture ratio, resulting in a noticeable power loss while driving.
