To reach the fuel pump relay in a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, start by opening the driver's side door. Find the hood release button in the left corner, then go outside and lift the hood, releasing the safety latch. Locate the fuse box next to the battery on the left side. Remove the fuse box cover to reveal the relay panel.

For certain models of the 2012 car model, finding the relay within the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) can be challenging unless it has been specifically addressed during a recall or some other modification. In cases where it was serviced due to a recall, the relay could be located on the rear side of the grill, towards the left when looking at the engine. An alternative option is a third-party service provider who can repair the TIPM and also offer a solution by using a jumper and fuse kit to effectively bypass the original relay with another relay located inside the TIPM.
