The BMW f30 fuel pump relay is located in the fuse box under the hood of the car. To access the fuse box, open the hood and look for a black box on the right-hand side of the engine compartment with a seam around it. Inside, you will find the fuse. The diagram of the fuses can be found on the back of the box or in the owner's manual. Identify the fuse you need and remove it by pulling it out. Check if the thin strip of metal connecting the two sections of the fuse is intact. A broken strip indicates a faulty fuse that needs to be replaced. New fuses are inexpensive, costing about $10.
