To access the fuse box, check to the left of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack on the dashboard. Using a screwdriver or prybar, you'll need to open this up. Inside, you'll see several fuses. There should be a diagram on the back of the panel you removed that shows the purpose of each fuse. If not, you can also refer to the owner's manual for the vehicle. Once you determine which fuse you need, simply pull it out. Look for a thin metal strip connecting the two elevated sections of the fuse. If this strip is broken, the fuse is no longer good and needs replacement. If the strip is intact, the fuse is still good and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are usually inexpensive, costing around $10.
On the 2005 Nissan Murano, you can find two fuse boxes. One is situated under the hood, and the other is below the steering wheel under the dashboard.
