The 2005 Nissan Maxima comes with two separate fuse boxes, one inside the vehicle and the other outside under the hood. The fuse box in the engine compartment is positioned on the car's right side near the battery terminal. At the top of the box's lid, there is a diagram that indicates the purpose of each fuse, mainly for external lighting, A/C system, horns, and warnings. The interior fuse box can be found on the driver's side below the instrument panel. It contains components like power windows, TV, moon roof, navigation, and more. Fuse ratings range from 7.5 to 30 amperes depending on the power requirements of the system.

There are a total of three fuse boxes in the car - two are located under the hood and one is under the steering wheel on the left side. The first fuse box under the hood is positioned near the right side of the engine, next to the battery. The second fuse box under the hood is found on the left side of the engine, near the power steering reservoir and is covered by plastic.
There's another fuse box found beneath the plastic cover in the engine compartment, situated over the right front tire.
