So, in a MINI Cooper S, the heater control valve is located in the middle of the heater below the dashboard. This valve is responsible for regulating the temperature by adjusting the blend door with the help of a cam and gear assembly. If you want to replace the control valve, you'll have to take out the door actuator at the rear of the firewall. The cost of a new valve can range from $50 to $75, depending on whether it's an aftermarket or OEM part. Signs that your control valve may be faulty include a lack of heat when the heater is turned on, a leaking heater core, or your engine overheating.
The position of the heater control valve for the MINI Cooper S is beneath the dashboard, situated on the heater core.
