In the Toyota Camry Hybrid, you can find the high voltage service plug in the trunk. Disable the high voltage by first taking out the floorboards and rear deck floor box in the trunk. Then, disconnect the negative terminal from the 12V auxiliary battery. To remove the service plug grip, slide up a lever and pull while turning it to the left – be sure to wear insulated gloves for this step. Additionally, use insulation tape on the service plug grip when removing it. Disconnect the positive battery cable on the auxiliary battery. Next, remove the service grip plug cover and fuse. It's recommended to wait for at least 5 minutes before servicing the system.
The high voltage disconnect for the Toyota Camry Hybrid can be found on the left side of the battery compartment.
