The 2006 Ford Focus idle air control valve can be found on the right side of the engine beneath the air filter housing that is attached to the throttle body. It is typically located near the intake manifold on the driver's side. Some signs of a malfunctioning IAC valve include erratic idle speed, engine stalling, and the check engine light coming on. While cleaning the part may temporarily solve the issues, replacing it is recommended as new ones are relatively inexpensive, costing around $20 to $40 and are easy to install with basic tools like a flat head screwdriver, a ratchet set with an 11mm socket and extension, and a Torx bit 25.
The 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee idle air control valve is situated close to the throttle body on the intake manifold.
