Locating the mass airflow sensor on a 2007 Honda Fit is a moderately simple task that can be completed in around 10 to 15 minutes. The first step involves accessing the intake plenum area, located near or just before the throttle body. The sensor can be found slightly beyond the air box, on the plenum. Its function is to measure the amount of air entering the engine. If it is defective, it will require replacement. A new sensor can typically cost between $23 and $174 at various automotive parts stores and may need to be custom ordered.
In 2007, the car doesn't have a Mass Air flow sensor; instead, it has a MAP sensor placed at the top rear of the manifold toward the right side when facing the car from the front. It is secured in place with a Phillips head screw.
