In the 2007 Jeep Liberty, the MAP sensor can be found below the air conditioning compressor. To access it, use a 14-millimeter socket with a long breaker bar to loosen the Serpentine belt and move it aside from the pulleys. Then, use a 13-millimeter and a 15-millimeter socket to remove the compressor, which is held by three bolts - two shorter ones and a 6-inch through bolt. After removing the compressor, adjust its position to reveal the map sensor underneath. Disconnect the electrical connector, take out the 9/32 bolt, and extract the map sensor. When installing a new sensor, apply a small amount of oil to the rubber seal before securing it in place.
The 2007 Jeep Liberty differs from other vehicles by not utilizing a mass air flow sensor. Instead, it utilizes a map sensor that is situated within the intake manifold.
