The neutral safety switch for a 2005 Nissan Titan is located inside the transmission, making it difficult to service unless you are comfortable removing it and working on it outside. However, you can check the engine harness wires to ensure they are not damaged and that the connections are secure. Loose connections can cause issues with the neutral safety switch. If your vehicle is shifting out of park on its own and moving forward when you start it, it is imperative to have it checked at a repair shop immediately. This is a serious safety concern as you never know who or what could be in front of your Titan.
