All vehicles made since 1996 come with an OBD2 system, also known as "Onboard Diagnostics II," that allows a compatible scanner to link up with the car's computer. The computer generates universal codes to track engine and operational issues, which can be read by an OBD2 scanner when connected to your vehicle. If you have a 2009 Hyundai Elantra, you can locate its OBD2 above the driver's pedals, near the bottom of the dashboard. To access it, check the outer edge of the panel positioned above the brake pedal, just to the left of the steering wheel. It's worth noting that EOBD codes are specific to Europe and European vehicles.
The 2009 Hyundai Elantra comes with an OBD-II port situated under the dashboard, just below the steering wheel column.
Can you tell me where to find the OBD-II port on a 2009 Hyundai Elantra?
