The Lexus ES300 diagnostic port is located underneath the steering wheel on the left side. If it is not functional, it may be due to a faulty fuse. To access the fuse box located under the car's hood, you need to lift and latch open the hood. On the right side of the engine compartment, there is a black box with a visible seam. Opening this box will reveal the fuse inside. The back of the box lid should have a diagram indicating the purpose of each fuse. If not, you can refer to the car owner's manual for guidance. Identify the relevant fuse and remove it by pulling it out. Check if the metal strip connecting the two sections is intact - if it's broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. If the strip is not damaged, you can reinsert the fuse. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, costing around 10 dollars.
The Lexus ES300's OBD port can be found beneath the dashboard on the left side for the driver.
