In the 2008 Honda Odyssey, you can find the OBD-2 port under the right side of the steering wheel. Just behind the panel, you'll see a white connector where you'll plug in your scanner. It's a good idea to have your own scanner handy, as it can be very useful. When your check engine light comes on, instead of immediately taking it to the dealer and spending money, try scanning the issue yourself. You might discover it's a simple problem that you can fix on your own. Decent scanners are affordable and can be purchased for under $50.
