The 2011 Ford F-150 3.5 EcoBoost has multiple oxygen sensors located along the intake manifold to monitor and adjust the air to fuel mixture for optimal engine performance. If these sensors are faulty, it can lead to the engine running too rich or too lean, potentially causing long-term damage or issues like decreased power and fuel efficiency. Replacing these sensors, which cost around $40 to $60 each, is a relatively inexpensive fix that can prevent bigger problems down the road.
