The power control module (PCM) in a 2013 Ford Explorer can be found behind the driver's side front bumper, just about four inches in front of the tire. Personally, I think it's a terrible spot to place the car's computer because there's a high risk of damaging it. If you happen to hit a small animal, especially on the front driver side bumper, it could crack the housing. A collision with a larger animal like a deer could potentially completely ruin the PCM. If you need to replace the PCM, the cost can range from $200 to $600. You might find a cheaper one around $200 on eBay, but expect to pay up to $600 at the dealer.
The PCM for the 2011-2015 Ford Explorer is located right behind the engine, inside a plastic housing near the windshield wiper motors.
I'm uncertain about that.
Typically, you can find the PCM relay location for a 2013 Ford Explorer under the passenger floorboard, though occasionally it may be located under the seats instead.
