The SD card in a Kia Sportage is positioned right above the radio screen, centrally placed. This card stores all the essential data for the GPS system. Similar to many computer applications, the navigation system needs periodic updates. If your system requires a software update, you can effortlessly swap out the old card for the new version. To remove the SD card, gently lift the left side of the cover using your fingernail. The cover is a soft rubber piece that shields the SD slot from dirt. Once loose, the cover will hang. Push the card to eject it, then pull it out using your fingers. When you insert the new card, ensure that the connectors are facing downwards and towards the front of the car.
