In the 2010 Cadillac SRX, you can locate the shift solenoid within the engine bay of your car. It is easy to find and should only require a few minutes of your time. To begin, go to the front of your vehicle and use the prop arm located on the passenger or left side of the engine compartment to keep the hood open and upright. Then, inspect the engine bay. Towards the rear of the transmission housing unit, you will see the shifting solenoid under a black valve cover. If it is malfunctioning, it will need to be replaced, which can cost anywhere from $40 to $102 for the parts alone.
