The Honda Fit's CVT speed sensor is located on the output shaft of the CVT as it connects to the transaxle. It helps measure how fast the vehicle is moving by tracking the shaft's rotation. If there's an issue with this sensor, it can cause inaccuracies in your speedometer readings. Additionally, a warning light on your dashboard will typically indicate a problem with the sensor. Since the sensor is close to the rotating shaft, it can be easily damaged and may require replacement occasionally. Thankfully, replacing the sensor usually comes at a cost of around $100.
The Honda Fit continuously variable transmission speed sensor is located on the output shaft coming out of the transmission.
