Accessing and removing the starter can be tricky as you'll have to reach underneath the vehicle where the transmission connects to the engine block. The nuts needed to open the heater hose are located behind a plastic air vent just below the turbo. Replacement starter costs can vary between $65 and $120 depending on whether it is an OEM or aftermarket component.
