In your 2010 Chevy Silverado, the starter is located on the lower part of the engine block on the passenger side of the truck. It is accessible either through the passenger wheel well or from underneath the vehicle. To remove the starter, you will need an 8mm, 13mm, and a 14mm socket. Before purchasing a new starter, it's important to verify that it is the actual cause of your issue. Often, a faulty battery is a more common problem than a bad starter. You can have the battery tested at a local auto parts store. If the battery is in good condition and you have checked other possible sources of trouble, then you should proceed with replacing the starter. Remember to disconnect the battery completely before taking out the starter.
The starting system in the 2010 Chevy Silverado is located below the engine on the passenger side, closer to the front of the truck.
