The 2008 Honda CR-V comes with a starter that you can find in the engine compartment. It’s pretty simple to find, although not as easy to replace. To locate it, start by going to the front of your car. Pop the hood and use the prop arm to hold it in place. Then, check out the area around the transmission in the engine bay – that’s where you’ll see the starter above the transmission. Signs of a faulty starter include the engine having trouble starting or not starting at all. If it needs to be replaced, you can expect to spend anywhere from $89 to $358 for a new one.
