In a 2010 Chrysler 300, the starter motor is located on the driver's side of the engine near the steering arm. If you hear grinding or clicking noises from the starter and the car fails to start, it indicates a problem within the motor, possibly due to a damaged gear or stator. If there is no sound coming from the starter at all, it's advisable to first check the battery and consider jump-starting the car to ensure it's not dead.
