In your 2005 Honda Odyssey, the starter relay can be found in the fuse box on the driver's side kick panel, positioned directly to the left of the emergency brake pedal. It is located on the bottom row of relays all the way to the right side of the panel when viewed straight on. The diagram labels it as R4 and names it the "Starter cut relay." This component acts as an electronic switch that turns on or off when there is a voltage applied to one of the contacts. It serves the purpose of disconnecting the link between the ignition switch and the starter physically. This feature is especially useful when the security system is triggered, preventing the car from starting even if someone attempts to hotwire it.
