The 2007 Nissan Maxima starter relay can be found in the fuse box under the hood of the car. To access the fuse box, open the hood and locate a black box on the right-hand side of the engine compartment with a seam around it. Inside this box, you will find the fuse. The back of the box lid should have a diagram indicating which fuse is which; if not, you can find this information in the owner's manual. Once you identify the correct fuse, remove it by pulling it out. Check if the thin strip of metal connecting the two sections of the fuse is intact - if it's broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. New fuses are inexpensive, costing around $10.
